Term 3.
Welcome back to Term 3.
We will be busy with lots of writing, reading and maths.
This term we will learn about ancient civilisations such as the Aztec, Greek, Egyptian, Roman and Indus.
There is also the school Cross Country so we will be doing lots of fitness to get fit for it.
We are looking forward to having the new 'artificial turf' completed so when the field is closed we have more space to play during break times.

Term 2 is about to end...
It has been a very busy term. We have completed lots of writing and have been learning about fractions. We finished reading 'Frankenstein' and are now reading 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'.
Our reports are going home today and on Thursday we have our Parent / Teacher / Student interviews where we will discuss our reports and show our parents & caregivers our book work.
Mr McAleer wants us to read lots of books over the holidays and also help around the house.
We are all looking forward to a good rest so we are ready for more work in Term 3.

Rocket lab
We have been building rockets with Miss Erakovich as part of technology class.
We used old plastics bottles which we filled with water and pumped up with air.
We had to make a stand so they stood upright and could fly.
Our experiment was huge success.
Thank you Miss Erakovich for all your help, guidance and expertise.

Fun Run
Today we competed in the Fun Run.
It was hard work but some of us managed 17 laps and everyone did at least 11 laps.
Each lap was 220 meters so everyone ran at least 2.4k, with our top runners doing 3.7k.
That's a lot of running.
Well done to everyone who ran and a special thank you to all our sponsors who gave money to help the school.
